More than $50,000 worth of hair weaves were stolen during a brazen burglary from a Euclid beauty shop -- and only newsnet5.com has exclusive surveillance video.

On January 25th, two men strolled into the Natural Beauty Hair Boutique on East 200th in Euclid with masks covering their faces.

It was about 2 p.m., the store was open, and a 20-year-old worker was sitting behind the salon counter.

The masked men told her they had a plan and if she followed it, she wouldn't get hurt.

"He said, 'All we want is the hair. We won't hurt you. We won't touch any of your things. We just want the hair," the worker said. We are concealing her identity for her safety.

Then, they forced her into a tiny bathroom and took their sweet time while they swiped every single hair weave they could find in the store.

Boxes and boxes of bundles -- real human hair -- were stuffed into boxes and carted out to a 2002 to 2004 gold Oldsmobile Bravada parked out back -- totaling $50,000.

They never hurt the girl. She even said they kept talking to her through the bathroom door, asking if she was doing OK.

The store, which sells and ships natural hair all around the country, has since installed a buzzer system before anyone is allowed in.

It's the second such hair weave theft in just a month. Last week, thieves smashed in the door of a Cleveland Heights beauty supply shop and made off with $15,000 worth of weaves.

Selling stolen hair, the owner said, is big business. Thieves can sell it on online, on Instagram, from their trunks, and out on the streets.

Euclid Police are asking anyone who can identify the thieves to call detectives at 216-289-8505. The thieves are seen wearing distinctive gloves and jackets.
