CLEVELAND - Despite the cold and rainy conditions, supporters for the Cleveland Mayoral candidates Frank Jackson and Ken Lanci were out in full force campaigning in front of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections Saturday.
The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is inviting voters to cast their ballots this Saturday and Sunday. "This is a great opportunity for people to vote on the weekend rather than taking time away from their work, school, or family on Election Day," said Pat McDonald, Director of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. "Weekend voting has been very popular in past elections. Families, church groups, and others have enjoyed voting together at the Board of Elections," said McDonald.
There is plenty of staff and parking to accommodate voters during this weekend's extended hours of voting.
The Board of Elections will be open:
Saturday, November 2nd - 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Sunday, November 3rd - Noon to 5:00 p.m.
The Board of Elections will also be open for early voting Monday, November 4th from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Vote by Mail Deadlines:
Those who Vote by Mail are reminded to return their voted ballots. Voted ballots mailed to the Board of Elections must be postmarked on, or before, Monday, November 4th, the day before the Election.
Voted ballots may also be returned to the Board of Elections' offices. "Ballots can be dropped off 24 hours a day using our convenient and secure ballot box without even entering the building," said McDonald. The ballot box is located in the Board of Elections parking lot at 2925 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland.
The deadline for returning ballots in person is November 5th at 7:30 p.m. Ballots cannot be dropped off at a voting location on Election Day.
It is important for voters to be prepared to cast their ballots on Election Day by confirming their ward, precinct, and voting location. Voters may call the Board at 216-443-VOTE to check their voting information or check on line at: http://www.443vote.com
