Shaker Heights police have charged two men allegedly involved in Friday's home invasion of an elderly woman.

Police say the crime, which happened on Palmerston Road, involved the suspects fleeing in the woman's blue 2001 Jaguar XK8. The vehicle has been recovered, according to police.

The suspects, 30-year-old James Austin of Shaker Heights and 35-year-old Brian Williams of Garfield Heights, were taken into custody Saturday night.

Austin was charged with kidnapping and is currently being held in lieu of a $350,000 bond.  Williams was charged with receiving stolen property and is being held in lieu of a $150,000 bond.  Both men are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

According to police reports, the victim of Friday's home invasion, Ms. Lou Sauer, was also a victim of an aggravated robbery in June.

The report states that on Tuesday, June 28, an unknown, clean-shaven black male about 6 feet tall posed as a utility worker to gain entry into her home. Once inside, Sauer told police that the suspect displayed a firearm, restrained her and stole personal property.
