STRONGSVILLE, Ohio - A Strongsville swimming group splashed their way through the pool Saturday to raise money for University Hospital's Seidman Cancer Center.
Swim Strong, a group that consists of about 600 swimmers, came out for the 6th annual "Splash Out Cancer" event held at the Ehrnfelt Rec Center on Royalton Road. It involved swimmers between the ages of 6 and 18 who came from all over Northeast Ohio.
For the first time, this year's event also included an educational component for Seidman with patient information and cancer education.
Swim Strong will most likely hit $100,000 donated to Seidman this year (cumulatively).
