Middleburg Heights, OHIO - With the New Year come all the firsts: the first snowfall, the first kiss and the first baby!
Macey Iannello was born at 30 seconds past midnight at Southwest General Hospital in Middleburg Heights.
Amy Iannello from Strongsville gave birth to her and her husband Clem's first daughter together, totaling the kid count in their family to six.
Amy says the midnight birth wasn't planned, it just happened that way. She said after some contractions Monday night she was rushed to Southwest General and after a few hours gave birth to her new bundle of joy.
"I watched it on the clock," said Amy. "We knew the whole time she was coming right at midnight. When I was told to push I did what I was told."
"To have it come right at midnight without any scheduled appointments it's amazing, really amazing," said Clem Iannello.
Macey weighed just over six pounds.
The doctor who delivered Macey said she has been at the hospital for 20 years and has never once delivered a New Year's baby.
