Denisa Alicka, 26, and Jonida Alicka, 28, were arrested for distribution of narcotics, according to the Cleveland Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Officials reported that on Tuesday around 7:15 a.m., officers from Cleveland FBI, Cleveland police, Parma police, Rocky River police, the Cleveland Organized Crime Task Force, Ohio HIDTA, and United States Border Control arrested Denisa Alicka and Jonida Alicka at their homes after search warrants were executed. Both women were taken into custody.

The warrants, officials said, were executed based on complaints filed in the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio, charging the two women with the intent to distribute MDMA and marijuana and/or conspired to distribute MDMA and marijuana.

Officials said the arrest and search warrants came from a joint investigation between the above mentioned agencies and the Detroit Division of the FBI, detailing multiple sales of MDMA and marijuana by the two women, who are sisters. They were selling the drugs out of their homes and cars between September 2014 and March of this year.

An investigation determined the sisters obtained MDMA and marijuana through Denisa's boyfriend, 37-year-old Richard Turhani, and his friend, 46-year-old Leka Konini, both from Michigan, officials stated. Jonida also got MDMA form her boyfriend who lives in Canada.

The investigation confirmed Denisa would go to Michigan often to pick up the drugs and bring them back to Ohio. Jonida, a reserve police officer with the Linndale Police Department, went to New York to pick up MDMA and took it back to Ohio. The two women distributed the drugs by selling it throughout the Northern District of Ohio.

Linndale police said Jonida Alicka was removed from office on March 16 due to the FBI investigation. The position was a volunteer position. Alicka was not paid by the Village of Linndale.

Officials said Turhani was arrested by the Detroit Division of the FBI, but Konini is still at large.

This is an ongoing investigation.
