34-year-old man shot in his van at North Olmsted Home Depot by someone he knows

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio - Police say a 34-year-old man shot another 34-year-old man in the parking lot at the Home Depot at 26241 Brookpark Road in North Olmsted.

Sources tell newsnet5.com that the suspect was waiting for the victim in the parking lot, got out of his car and into the victim's van then shot him.

"They know each other, don't know how well. Well enough for the victim to tell us who the shooter was," Bob Wager, a North Olmsted police officer, said.

Police arrested the shooter within minutes after the shooting occurred.

North Olmsted Fire Department tells newsnet5.com that crews transported a man to Fairview Hospital with a gunshot wound to the back. He was conscious when he was transported.

A spokesperson for Home Depot said that the company is cooperating fully with the police investigation, and that the store will remain open.
