CLEVELAND - A Rocky River attorney has been charged with stealing nearly $263,000 from the estate of a disabled veteran, the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office said.
Kevin Purcell, 61, was indicted on two counts of aggravated theft and one count of tampering with records, all felonies. Purcell was the guardian for the disabled veteran, and then the administrator of his estate after his 2012 death.
The veteran's sister filed suit against Purcell after she learned that the veteran's funeral expenses had not been paid. Purcell was found guilty in probate court of concealing assets earlier this year.
