Police called to the Cleveland Metroparks Big Creek Reservation Thursday morning for a report of a suspicious device ended up finding drug paraphernalia.

The park was closed in the area of Big Creek Parkway during the investigation.

Initial reports indicated there might be a pipe bomb in a trash can at the Snow Road Pavilion.

Parma Heights bomb techs were called to the scene to investigate. Officers found paraphernalia in the trash.

Police originally reported they found remnants of a meth lab. Officials later clarified that the pieces were believed to be used to extract THC in marijuana leaves.

The Parma Heights Fire Department responded to clean up the debris.
