Narcotics trafficking violators arrested by Southeast Area Law Enforcement

Southeast Area Law Enforcement narcotics detectives arrested two people on May 23 and May 25 for narcotics trafficking violations that occurred in Maple Heights and Bedford Heights, authorities reported. 

Norman Hunter and Matthew Martin, according to police, were arrested for the sale and possession of approximately 3 kilos (3000 grams) of Fentanyl. 

Detectives reported observing a drug transaction taking place in a McDonald's parking lot in Maple Heights between Hunter and Martin. Martin was detained and police located the 3 kilos of Fentanyl in his possession. 

Martin's vehicle, a Chevy Malibu, had been modified with a hidden compartment used to hide the drugs, authorities said. 

Officials reported Hunter was arrested on May 25 at his home in Bedford Heights. A search of his residence helped authorities locate five firearms, cash and packaging materials. A Porsche, registered to Hunter, was also taken from the home.

Both Hunter and Martin are begin charged federally through the United States District Court Northern District of Ohio.
