Multiple bus stops have been vandalized in Cleveland over the last several days.

According to the RTA, 80 stops in the area have been hit and now riders want answers.

RTA police haven't released an exact timeline but riders said the shattered glass started showing up Thursday.

The glass has been removed from some shelters but others are roped off with police tape and are currently unusable.

An RTA spokesperson originally told newsnet5.com the shelters had been shot at but then later described them simply as "vandalized."

RTA police are currently investigating.

Riders told newsnet5.com's Megan Hickey they believe the windows were shot with something.

"It's very disappointing especially if someone was sitting in here," said RTA bus rider Gusto Kartsoni. "An innocent person could have gotten hurt."

Routes continued to run as usual.
