Middleburg Heights bank robbery suspect caught after high-speed chase onto dead-end street

MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio - Middleburg Heights police arrested a bank robbery suspect after a high-speed chase.

The robbery occurred at the Key Bank, located at 18324 Bagley Rd., at about 12:15 p.m. Friday.

The Middleburg Heights police chief said the suspect jumped the counter, stole cash and then drove away from the scene.

Police said the suspect then led officers on a chase, driving 70 mph from Middleburg Heights to Parma Heights. The chase lasted about 8 minutes.

The suspect eventually surrendered on Maplecrest Road after driving down the dead-end street.

Police took him in to custody. His name has not been released.
