NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio - A police dash cam captured a man being arrested for drunken driving walk into traffic on a busy Northeast Ohio highway.
A North Olmsted officer pulled over a car he said was speeding on Interstate 480 near Columbia Road. The officer smelled alcohol and spotted an empty beer can on the car's floor, and said that the driver, Richard Solis, 54, admitted to drinking.
While the officer was in his cruiser speaking to dispatch, Solis exited his car and ran into traffic "in attempt to commit self-harm," the police report states.
The officer ran after the man and dragged him from the left lane back to the right shoulder, where he handcuffed and arrested him.
Solis was charged with OVI and speeding.
