CLEVELAND - The Cleveland police are investigating a felonious assault that happened Friday.
Police say they responded to the Lonnie Burton recreation center in Cleveland in response to a man that had been shot. When police arrived on the scene they located a 33 year-old male who had a gunshot wound to the leg.
The man had been shot by an unknown man that confronted him at E. 43rd and Quincy. He was later shot in the leg by the same man.
The victim managed to get away and fled on foot to the Lonnie Burton recreation center.
EMS responded and transferred the victim to Metro Health medical Center for treatment.
