In a sea of hardship, we found a treasure trove of potential and power in East Cleveland. The city is one of the poorest cities in America, but it pledges to grow its fortune. Two businesses have invested heavily in the 15000 block of Euclid Avenue.

The area is surrounded by blight. Even so, Andre Hendrix and Tiffany Morgan built Andreas Dekar and TD Cigar and Wine Lounge. Just doors away, Joe Little III, opened Urbean Joe Coffee Café.

They say they are the example for the rest of the community to follow.

“Everybody is looking up to the shooters, drug dealers, all the negative things. I want them to look up someone that lived that life, made it out of that life,” Hendrix said.

“Home is where the heart is, and there’s nothing like it. And what comes from the heart reaches the heart,” said Little.

Little says he's not finished. He'll open more shops in the area.
