Independence is getting a little bit of championship flair on its city streets next week when they rename a section of Brecksville Road to "Cavaliers Way" in honor of the 2016 NBA Champions.

Mayor Anthony Togliatti will hold a dedication ceremony and unveil two new Cavaliers Way signs that will mark the changes. Cavaliers Way will begin at the intersection of Rockside Road and run north to Cleveland Clinic Courts.

The ceremony will be held Monday, Nov. 21 at 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Walgreens at 6900 Rockside Road.

In addition to changing a portion of the road, Mayor Togliatti will also present Cavaliers CEO Len Komoroski and General Manager David Griffin with Keys to the City. Several state representatives and city officials have been invited to the ceremony and members of the Cavaliers Girls and Scream Team dance teams will be there to celebrate.
