Hundreds from greater Cleveland area head to Columbus to rally for health care benefits

CLEVELAND - At 8:30 Thursday morning, residents from the greater Cleveland area boarded buses to head to Columbus to attend a health care rally.

More than 200 people including health care advocates and members from local congregations will be leaving from locations across the county including the Olivet Institutional Baptist Church at 8712 Quincy Avenue in Cleveland.

The rally is at the Ohio Statehouse at noon Thursday. More than 2,000 people are expected to attend.

Health care advocates plan to rally in support of Governor John Kasich's proposal to extend health benefits to 275,000 Ohioans.

Recently, Republicans removed the Governor's proposal from the state budget.
