Host, 30 others arrested after wild St. Patrick's Day party in Solon

SOLON, Ohio - Dozens of people were arrested after a wild St. Patrick's Day party in Solon, including the party's host and many juveniles.

Police responded to a house on SOM Center Road near Miles Road Saturday at 11:32 p.m. after getting a complaint of a "loud party."

When officers arrived at the house, they said they saw several juveniles yelling and running from the house into the woods. Police said they were able to catch many of them, some of which aggressively resisted arrest and fought with officers.

"The residence was in disarray with substantial evidence of drug and alcohol abuse," Solon police said in a news release.

In all, 31 people aged 16 to 20 were arrested. Police said there were 41 involved altogether. The charges they're facing include underage consumption, obstructing official business, drug abuse and resisting arrest.

Here's a breakdown of the ages of those arrested:
- (7) 16-year-olds
- (14) 17-year-olds
- (8) 18-year-olds
- (1) 19-year-old
- (1) 20-year-old

All are from Solon, except three 17-year-olds from Lorain, Avon Lake and Glenwillow.

Solon police said 10 other juveniles were referred to the city's juvenile officer for consideration of possible charges.

Police identified the host of the party, who also lives at the home, as 18-year-old Spencer Wien. He was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of minors, possession of drug paraphernalia and sales of liquor to underage persons. His bond was set at $1,000.

Another adult, 20-year-old Donald Williams, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, obstructing justice and drug abuse. His bond was set at $750.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident, including others who may have been involved.
