Northfield, OH - It's the first Hard Rock Casino property with no hotel, which makes it unique to the world and it's right here in Northeast Ohio.
On Saturday, over 300 jobs needed to be filled and many came to apply for services jobs like, bartender, cooks, waitresses, attendants and food service to name a few.
"Ideally, I'm looking to be a bartender," said William Stevens Jr, who's been looking for work over the last month.
Shardey Roberts, told us she arrived by herself in line at 6.a.m. She thought the lines would be long, which is why she made the early morning trip. "Do you know it was cold outside," she said. "I applied for bartending. If I don't get it hopefully I will be a cook. The hiring process was different than just the one on we've come to expect. It was a group interview where potential employees were asked three questions. Depending on your answers would determine if you were put into the "Yes" or "No" group."
Hard Rock Rocksino is looking for people with food and beverage experience to take positions at one of its four dining locations, including: Kosar's Wood Fire Grill, Hard Rock Cafe, Fresh Harvest, or Constant Grind restaurant.
It will take a total of 750 people to operate the 265 million dollar facility, which will house 2300 slot machines. It's expected to open in mid-December.
