Chagrin Falls Exempted Village School District received test results Wednesday, indicating the school had acceptable levels of lead and copper for drinking based on EPA standards, according to administrators.
The samples were taken on Jan. 27 at the entry point of Gurney Elementary School after school officials said a message on the Ohio EPA's website contradicted the information the school was provided in November.
The message said:
The Centers for Disease Control recommends children and pregnant women use bottled water or water from a filtration system that has been certified by an independent testing organization to reduce or eliminate lead for cooking, drinking and baby formula preparation.

"Out of an abundance of caution," the district tested 20 additional samples Tuesday. Administrators anticipate the results will be available by Feb. 10.
Until further notice, officials will continue using bottled water at the school.
