Heavy smoke filled the sky as firefighters battled massive fire in Willoughby

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio - Firefighters battled a massive fire at a landscaping business in Willoughby, which left much of the city covered in smoke.

Crews were dispatched to Vine Street at Ben Hur Avenue at around 9:52 p.m. Saturday for a report of a structure fire.

When firefighters arrived, heavy smoke filled the air as flames devoured a building and shot to the sky.

NewsChannel5 was told that power outages were reported in the area.

Vine Street was also shut down for hours as crews battled the massive flames.

Eastlake, Euclid, Mentor on the Lake, Willowick, among other fire crews helped to extinguishing the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No other information was released.
