The FBI and Lakewood police are asking the public for help in finding a missing 24-year-old woman.

Roaa S Al Dhannoon was last seen at her Edgewater apartment during the evening of Oct.16.

She was reported missing on Oct. 19 by a family member.

Roaa came to the USA as a refugee from Iraq. Friends said she came for a better life. She works as a cook at Aladdin's in Lakewood where her coworkers are extremely upset. "It is very difficult. We're bonding together praying for her safe return," said Dani Krasnicki.

Roaa is described as being approximately 5-foot, 4 inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Her disappearance is believed to be suspicious because Roaa is a mother and, according to friends, would not be away from her young child.

She is recently divorced.

FBI agents and police searched a portion of the Metroparks on Tuesday following a lead but said they found nothing that helps in this case. "We don't know where she is and it is very out of character to leave her 3 year old son," said Lakewood Police Chief Tim Malley.

Law enforcement is asking the public to contact the tip line at 216-522-1400 with any information regarding Roaa’s whereabouts or known interactions with other people.

Roaa and family members have significant family and friend relationships in the Detroit and Dearborn, Michigan areas.
