FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio - An elementary school in Fairview Park was evacuated Tuesday morning after police received a phone call for a bomb threat.
Fairview police called Gilles Sweet Elementary School at 11:30 a.m. to inform school officials about a bomb threat that was called in that morning.
Police arrived and evacuated the school and swept and searched the building. Authorities said nothing was located inside the school and classes resumed about 40 minutes later.
School officials sent out an email alert to parents after the school was cleared. School officials said getting kids safe and checking the school was the most important thing.
