CLEVELAND - One man is dead after an ATV crashed into the wall of H. Barbara Booker Elementary School on Cleveland's west side early Thursday morning.

Police said it happened on the 2100 block of West 67th Street in Cleveland.

Dana Paterson said he heard a noise from inside his home and when he came outside he found the man laying next to the ATV.

"We flipped him over and some woman came over and gave him compressions, I called it in and it was just too late," Paterson said.

Paterson said the man was not wearing a helmet.

When EMS arrived, the victim had extensive injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

The victim was identified as 31-year-old Carlos Javier Sanchez-Ortiz.
