A 30-year-old man remains in critical condition after being struck by a car on Christmas day.

According to a Cleveland police spokesperson, Henry Howard stopped his car around 8 p.m. while in an Interstate 90 westbound lane near West 25th Street due to mechanical problems.
As Howard was walking near his car in the third lane, he was hit by a 2004 Hyundai, which police said fled from the scene but was later located on West 47th Street.
Howard was taken to MetroHealth for serious head injuries, police reported.

Police said the Hyundai was towed and they are processing it for evidence, but as of Saturday morning a suspect had not been identified.
