East Cleveland murder suspect Michael Madison indicted on aggravated murder, kidnapping, rape

EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio - The man accused of killing three women and leaving their bodies in East Cleveland was indicted on Monday.

A Cuyahoga County grand jury indicted 35-year-old Michael Madison on 14 counts including six counts of aggravated murder. He also faces three counts of kidnapping, three counts of gross abuse of a corpse, one count of rape and one count of having weapons under a disability.

The bodies of Angela Deskins, Shetisha Sheeley and Shirellda Terry were found last week. One was left in a garage. The other two were discovered on July 20 at a vacant house. Prosecutors said all three were wrapped in plastic bags.

Madison was arrested after a standoff at his mother's house in Cleveland. He was being held on $6 million bond.

Madison, a convicted sex offender, was charged with one count of failure to provide notice of change of address in a separate case. He pleaded guilty to attempted rape in 2002.

Madison will be arraigned in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court this week.
