Dozens of people turn out for the Purple Light Vigil at Lincoln Park in Tremont

CLEVELAND - Dozens of people showed their support for patients of Pancreatic Cancer Sunday at Lincoln Park in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood.

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month. Purple is the signature color. Participants lit candles and placed them in purple bags, which lined the side walk. Cities nationwide took part in this event.

"This type of cancer has a six percent survival rate and they would like to double that by 2020," said Mary Kaye Mackulin.

Events like this hopefully will help people battling this disease and learn about help available.
