Daughter Jennifer Swain mourns murdered Brunswick grandmother Mary Tench

BRUNSWICK, Ohio - Jennifer Swain is in an unimaginable situation.

Her mother, Mary Tench, has been murdered. Her brother, James Tench, is in jail on $2 million bond .

"She was a good mother," Swain says. "(An) amazing grandmother. My kids were her life. She did not deserve to be taken away from them."

Tuesday, Swain reported her mother missing after the 55-year-old failed to show up to babysit her grandkids.

By Thursday, afte Tench's body had been found in her car on Carquest Drive in Brunswick, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner determined she had been beaten to death.

Swain's brother, she says, has been questioned by Brunswick police in their mother's death.

Friday, he's behind bars in Strongsville on unrelated robbery charges, but police there say he's a suspect in Mary Tench's murder.
