An Olmsted Falls father has taken steps to make sure what happened in late October doesn't happen again.

Seth Williams said he walked into his living room about 7 o'clock on the morning of October 29th. Williams said he thought he saw his daughter sitting on the couch going through her book bag. He soon realized it wasn't his daughter, but instead a stranger going through is daughter's things.

"I yelled, what the hell are you doing? He went out the door," Williams explained. Williams chased the man, but he got away.

Williams is concerned because he doesn't know why the man was in the house. "I guess what bothers us the most is that he had every opportunity to rob us," said Williams. The man left valuables behind. There were electronics, his wife's purse, his wallet, but only keys were taken.

Olmsted Falls police are investigating. Williams is worried that this incident could be connected to several high-profile attempted abductions and a kidnapping of a Cleveland girl. Police Chief William Traine does not believe that it was an attempted abduction or that it is connected to other cases. "The FBI called for a follow up because they're monitoring these types of things after what happened in Elyria and neighboring communities," said Traine.

Special Agent Vicki Anderson said there is nothing to indicate that it is connected, but that agents look into anything suspicious that involves a child.
