CLEVELAND - Appointments have been made for three leadership positions in Cuyahoga County.
County Executive Ed FitzGerald submitted the names Friday.
Andrea Rocco has been appointed clerk of courts, Frank Bova sheriff, and Mark Parks treasurer.
All three appointments are subject to confirmation by the Cuyahoga County Council.
Each of the individuals has served in an interim role since each position was vacated.
Rocco has served as Special Counsel to the County Executive since 2011. She has been the Prosecutor and Assistant Director of Law for the City of Westlake since 2002 and served as an Assistant Ohio Attorney General. She graduated from Cleveland Marshall College of Law and Ohio University.
Bova has been a law enforcement professional since 1985, when he joined the Cleveland Division of Police. He was Police Chief of Warrensville Heights from 2000 to 2010, and also served as Interim Cuyahoga County Sheriff in 2009. Bova has been a captain in the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's office since 2010.
Parks is a Certified Public Accountant and currently serves as Director of Special Projects and Acting Controller for the county. For the last 15 years, he has served in a variety of financial management roles in the public and non-profit sectors and holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Political Science, and a Masters in Business Administration.
