Cuyahoga Co. jail supervisor terminated for 'excessive force' on female inmates

Cuyahoga County Correction Officer Corporal Brendan Johnson has been terminated from his job following two incidents of excessive use of force and physical contact with inmates according to the Cuyahoga County Executive's office. 

Johnson allegedly physically asaulted an inmate while they were in his custody, According to the report from the Cuyahoga County Executive's office, he was observed pepper foaming an inmate in the face and head area without being provoked and without giving any verbal instructions or directions to the inmate. He then allegedly said "I told you I'd get you."

On another incident two days later, he responded to a backup call to an inmate in lockup and allegedly swept an inmate's legs from under her while she was undressing. He then pepper foamed this inmate in the face. 

Both inmates were said to pose no threat to Johnson, according to the report from the Cuyahoga County Executive's office. 

Johnson received a letter from Cuyahoga County Executive's office on June 23 officially removing him from his position.
