CLEVELAND - The Cleveland radio personality accused of hitting a tree while driving under the influence is no longer working at WMMS.
Chad Zumock, 37, was driving on Lake Avenue in Lakewood early Friday morning when he went off the road and hit a tree, police report said. He refused to take a breathalyzer test, and was charged with OVI, failure to control and a seatbelt violation.
During Monday's Alan Cox Show, it was mentioned that Zumock's contract with WMMS was up and they decided not to renew. His biography is no longer on the website. We have reached out to the station for an official statement.
Zumock's attorney entered a not guilty plea by mail, so he was not in court on Monday. There is a pretrial hearing set for Jan. 10.
No one was injured during the Friday morning crash. Zumock was arrested for OVI in 2008 in Kent.
