PARMA, Ohio - The City of Cleveland mistakenly installed a red light traffic camera in Parma, Ohio.
According to Parma City Hall, Cleveland’s camera and signage went up on the City or Parma’s property just west of Broadview and Brookpark Road, which is technically illegal in Parma, Ohio.
Parma’s ordinances only allow for school zone photo enforcement. Parma City Hall tells NewsChannel5 that “it appears this was a mistake and we have been informed that it will be removed by the City of Cleveland.”
Also, Parma Safety Director tells NewsChannel5 that the cameras were not fully functional, so it does not appear that any residents were cited.
NewsChannel5 has reached out to Cleveland City Hall, who has not responded to the incident.
