Cleveland police investigate two Tuesday homicides

Cleveland police are investigating two homicides that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

Kareem Thomas, 36, was found inside at about 4 p.m. inside of a home in the 1100 block of Addison with a gunshot wound to the head, according to a police news release. He was taken to University Hospital where he later died. 

During an early investigation, police learned there were two men who were seen running away from the home immediately after gunshots were heard. 

Descriptions of the shooters were vague. 

Separately, police found were called to the 9200 block of Wade Park where they found Christopher Bishop lying in the street on the with a gunshot wound to his chest. Bishop, 20, was taken to University Hospital where he later died. 

Witnesses told police Bishop was seen fighting with another man before he was shot. There was no description provided about the man Bishop was fighting with. 

Thomas and Bishop were both identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.
