CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio - Criminal charges have been filed against two sets of brothers from Cleveland in the death of Cleveland Heights restaurant owner Jim Brennan.
Brennan, 61, died at the hospital shortly after he was shot during an attempted robbery at Brennan's Colony Monday.
Brandon Jones, Darien Jones, Devon Turner and Paul Turner were charged with aggravated murder and aggravated robbery.
According to Cleveland Heights Chief of Police Jeffrey Robertson, Brandon Jones was an employee of Brennan's Colony at the time of the shooting. Police can't say whether Brandon was inside the restaurant during the shooting.
At a press conference Thursday evening, police did not comment on if the four males charged were members of the Heartless Felon gang.
The four charged are due in court sometime next week.
Devon and Paul Turner currently have charges against them for aggravated robbery, kidnapping, aggravated theft, robbery and cruelty to animals.
Residents, employees and patrons of the busy Cedar Lee business district have responded with shock at the daytime homicide of the well-liked local businessman. Hundreds gathered for a vigil for the man Tuesday night.
