A Case Western Reserve University student was robbed at gunpoint near the campus Sunday morning, university police said in an alert sent to students.

According to police, the incident technically happened off campus, but authorities said in the alert that they wanted to make the campus aware of the alleged robbery.

Police said a student was standing at the intersection of Murray Hill and Edgehill roads when two young males exited an SUV and robbed him at gunpoint.

The suspects then fled the scene in the car. No one was injured.

The suspects are described as:

  • Suspect #1: young, black male in his late teens, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and wearing a red hoodie
  • Suspect #2: young, black male in his late teens, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and wearing a grey hoodie
  • The suspect car is described as a grey, boxed SUV

Cleveland Police will be leading the investigation into the incident, university police said. Anyone with information or tips can call Detective Sgt. Dan Schemmel at 216-368-5993.
