Victim in possible wrong-way crash on I-480 ID'd

The victim in a fatal weekend crash on Interstate 480has been identified. 

Police say initial investigation shows a 48-year-old man was driving a Ford F-150 pick up truck east in the westbound lane of I-480 when he struck 20-year-old Kayla Coates, who was driving a Ford Fiesta. 

When officers arrived at the scene, the F-150 was upside down and the Ford Fiesta had heavy side damage.

Coates was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The man was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where he is being treated for serious injuries. 

The crash is under investigation. Once the investigation is complete, the police department will consult with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office on charges.
