Ohio BCI agents responded to a report of a dead body in an Olmsted Township pond on Wednesday.
Police and firefighters responded to MacKenzie Road in Olmsted Township on Wednesday.
OLMSTED TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A decomposed body was found in an Olmsted Township pond Wednesday afternoon, police say.
Dive teams were called to the scene on MacKenzie Road, not far from Cook Road. Agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation were also on-hand.
"We are able to determine that it is a male victim, and the body is badly decomposed right now and we couldn't even determine the age," Police chief John Minek said.
Police are also unsure how long the body was in the pond.
"All I saw was a swimsuit on a body. To me, it looked like a mannequin," said Collin Garratt, who saw the body up close.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy to determine cause of death.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
