BAY VILLAGE, Ohio - The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's office has hired a special agent to investigate the 1989 kidnapping and murder of Amy Mihaljevic.
The Bay Village Police Department will hold a press conference Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. to introduce retired Special Agent Phil Torsney, who will work exclusively on this case.
The department will also offer the latest information on the investigation.
Mihaljevic was 10 when she disappeared Oct. 27, 1989 after telling a friend that a man had called and said that he wanted to take her to get her mother a present to celebrate a promotion at work. A few months later, her body was found in Ashland County by a jogger.
