Two elderly women who were killed in a house fire on Cleveland's East side on Wednesday have been identified.

According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office, the two women, who were sisters, were 85-year-old Jeanette Arlington and 89-year-old Mary Wright, both of Cleveland.

Fire officials and the victims' family members told newsnet5.com that the two women died in the fire at a home on East 147th Street. The flames started at around 2:30 a.m.

Family members said one of the victims lived upstairs and the other lived downstairs.

"Good people. Such a tragedy," Theresa Taylor, who said one of the victims was her foster mother, previously told newsnet5.com."The last thing she said to me was I love you and I said I love you too," added Taylor.

A man from the upstairs apartment was treated and released. Another man was taken to a local hospital for treatment for injuries sustained in the fire.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
