A fatal crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian is being investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol Ashtabula Post.

Early Tuesday morning, according to OSHP, troopers responded to a traffic crash between two vehicles and a pedestrian on US 322 near mile post 13.

OSHP reported a 2004 Chevrolet Impala was driven by 51-year-old Arne I. Siekkinen, of Williamsfield, and a 1994 Toyota XLX truck was driven by 37-year-old Kevin M. Bell, of Orwell. Both Siekkinen and Bell were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash and neither received injuries.

The pedestrian, identified as 23-year-old Glenn W. Furr, of Kinsman, was pronounced dead at the scene, police reported. Furr was not wearing reflective equipment.

Police later learned Siekkinen was traveling westbound on US 322 when he hit Furr, who was lying down in the westbound lane. Then Bell, who was also traveling westbound, hit Furr as well.

Police believe Furr was intoxicated at the time of the incident.

The crash is still under investigation.
