Ashtabula Co. APL honoring pets who died

The Ashtabula County Animal Protective League will hold a memorial service to honor the pets who died in the past year, including 22 dogs found dead and dumped on a dead end road. 

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Ashtabula County APL memorial garden, located at the ACAPL Adoption Center, 5970 Green Rd. The cremated remains of the dogs will be interned during the service.

"We do not know the names of the 22, or even if they had names, The staff of the ACAPL has named them as we believe they deserve at least that much. Rest in peace Preston, Penelope, Paxton, Polly, Precious, Peaches, Payton, Pearl, Paton, Phoenix, Pierce, Prescott, Paisley, Phoebe, Presley, Petunia, Presley, Piper, Paris, Princeton, Princess, and Puck," ACAPL said in a statement.
