Mentor police investigating string of daytime burglaries in residential neighborhoods

MENTOR, Ohio - Mentor police are currently investigating a recent string of daytime burglaries in the community and are asking for help from residents.

Police said there have been six daytime break-ins in residential areas since April 12, throughout the city of Mentor.

Residents have reported a suspicious man in his 20s or 30s in the area of the burglaries, going door-to-door asking for a lost cat or dog. Police are asking that residents contact police if they notice anyone acting suspicious in their neighborhood.
