Family-owned funeral home to start pet cremation and grief support center

WILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio - For many people, losing a pet is like losing a member of your family.

Many times owners do not know what to do when planning for end of life issues for a beloved pet.

DeJohn Funeral Homes, located in Willoughby Hills, is a family-owned business and they've developed a way to help local pet owners deal with the pain of losing their companion.

DeJohn Pet Services, which will launch in October, will provide cremations or burials, memorial products and pet loss support.

To celebrate the launch of DeJohn Pet Services, DeJohn Funeral Homes will host a grand opening event on Oct. 15 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 28890 Chardon Rd., Willoughby Hills.

The event will feature specialists who will to walk visitors through the new facility and discuss opportunities that the pet center brings. Guests are encouraged to bring their pets and partake in a pet blessing and pet remembrance service.

DeJohn Pet Services said its main goal is to help make the transition of losing a pet as smooth as possible for the owner.
