Woman robs Charter One Bank in Cleveland; Demand note says 'hate to shoot you'

CLEVELAND - Cleveland police are investigating after a woman robbed a bank on the city's east side.

The woman went into the Charter One Bank on Harvard Avenue at about noon on April 5 and complained of a headache while at the counter, police said. She then slid a note to the teller.

"This is a robbery. I have a gun. Put money from draw in bag. Nothing stupid. Hate to shoot you and everybody else. No alarms. No dye quick," the note said, according to the police report.

The suspect, who was mid-40, got away with about $2,500 in cash.

Anyone with information about the woman should call the Fourth District Detective Bureau at 216-623-5419. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers at 216-252-7463, or by texting "TIP657" to 274637.
