A woman is dead after a motorcycle crash on Saturday night.
A 24-year-old man was driving a motorcycle northbound on State Route 237 around 10:05 p.m. with a 32-year-old woman riding on the back.
As a car that was traveling southbound approached the intersection and proceeded to turn left onto Chatfield Avenue, the motorcycle driver struck the car. Police said the man was driving faster than the 35 mph speed limit.
Both the man and woman were ejected from the motorcycle onto the roadway and were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center. The driver of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and the female passenger was pronounced dead at the hospital. The 17-year-old driver of the car was not injured.
The incident is under investigation.
