CLEVELAND - Two Second District Cleveland Police officers were injured in a crash on West 69th Street and Lorain Avenue on Sunday afternoon.
Cleveland Police said the accident happened around 11:40 a.m.
The officers were traveling westbound on Lorain Avenue with their lights and sirens activated, responding to assist officers involved in the foot pursuit of a robbery suspect. As they approached W. 69th St., a vehicle entered their path of travel, aausing the officers vehicle to strike that vehicle. The officers vehicle and then struck a pole.
Both officers were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was also transported to Metro for injuries. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
No arrests have been made and the accident remains under investigation.
