Two people escaped from the Judge Nancy R. McDonnell Community Based Correctional Facility during the early morning on Sunday, the Oriana House reported.

The Oriana House held a meeting at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to address the incident.

The Oriana House, which operates the CBCF, said Lavelle Tucker and Tyshawn Shepard escaped through a window that was broken from the inside by a pool table ball. The ball was reportedly sneaked into the dorm from the common area of the CBCF.

The two escapees are still being searched for by police.

The CBCF is located at 3540 Croton Ave., in Cleveland. It provides a local alternative to a prison sentence. It is staffed by the Cleveland Police Department.
