CLEVELAND - A woman was injured and a driver arrested after a two-car crash that sent an SUV into a home near Superior and Norwood avenues. That crash happened just after 2 a.m. Friday.
According a witness, an SUV was traveling northbound on East 65th Street at a high rate of speed when the driver ran a red light and hit a woman that was driving eastbound on Superior Avenue.
The crash sent the SUV across a sidewalk and into a yard before hitting a house. The vehicle came to rest about 75 feet from the intersection.
The house had a large hole knocked into its foundation from the impact.
The driver of the SUV jumped out and ran from the scene.
Just after 6 a.m. Friday, Cleveland police said the driver the SUV was arrested.
The woman who was driving the car was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, according to police.
