CLEVELAND - Two bank robbers were caught and arrested Saturday afternoon thanks to the help of a local citizen.
Cleveland Police said the Key Bank, located at 4269 Fulton Road was robbed by two males around noon on Saturday. As the males exited the bank, they were seen by a female citizen who noticed that the dye pack (given to the suspect by the teller) had exploded and sprayed paint onto one of the suspects.
The citizen contacted police and maintained contact with Cleveland Police radio, following behind the suspects as they fled in a vehicle.
Second District officers responded and immediately apprehended one suspect; the second suspect was caught after a brief foot pursuit and the money was were recovered scene. The two males, both in their early 40's, were arrested. Their names have not yet been released.
